Update- Girl Power! (Lame, I know)

Hey ladies! I know, I know it's been quite a while since I've posted anything. My mom's here visiting and I've just been spending some time with her. Also, this past week I've applied for a new job and found out the next day that I was hired. YAY for moving on up! :)

I've just been stressing a bit on getting some things squared away for the new hire at my current job. I'll be training my replacement next week and so this week I had to get EVERYTHING I do together to show her the ropes. Quite stressful considering I only have three days to prepare for her arrival and still keeping up with my current tasks before I leave. I'm also quite nervous with my new job because it's a different field. Yes, it's an opportunity to move up but it is COMPLETELY out of my comfort zone. Say good-bye to my everyday heels and office job and hello to working out in the field.

My new co-workers aren't to thrilled either. My company already notified me that because of my gender, they think that I can't hack it already? REALLY?? I haven't even started yet and they're already hating because they heard that a female is going to fill the position? Can I say sexist??  My company also asked me if that effects my decision on accepting the position. HECK NO! That makes me want it even more just so I can prove them wrong. Am I right ladies?? I may be a little nervous but that doesn't mean that I can't do it. So bring it on boys!

So yess, ladies I start on the 27th and I shall let you guys know how it goes. My mom also leaves that day so hopefully I'll get back to the flow of things and catch up with you ladies. Until then, I hope you ladies enjoy the rest of the week and I'll try as much as possible to post a little something later.

Bye ladies! :)

E.L.F. Tinted Moisturizer Review

I'm in quite a good mood today :) & I hope everyone else is enjoying their week!

I recently purchased E.L.F.'s Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20 from Beauty Joint and today was my first time using it. I saw that A LOT of people did not like this Tinted Moisturizer. They claimed that it was too cakey and they didn't like the smell of it. They also said that it was really greasy and it looked too dark for them especially in hot weather.  After reading these reviews, I almost changed my mind. I live on an island where the humidity is 84% and the weather ranges from 76° F to 85° F. This is year round!

E.L.F. Tinted Moisturizer in Beige

I wanted to give it a try since it was only $3. What could I lose? (Other than the $3) I got it in the color Beige (Click here to check out the other colors of this product). I wanted to try it for the days that I wanted a sheer coverage so that you couldn't even tell I was wearing any make-up. I feel like this product nailed it. I really don't feel like I'm wearing anything! I didn't put that much on.

I think a lot of those who experienced that it made their face feel cakey probably put too much. I put really little like less than a normal pump (from a pump foundation) and I used my fingers to blend it into my face. It really evened my skin tone and I did put a little powder on but my face feels like I have no make-up on. This tinted moisturizer really made my face look really natural.

Please keep in mind that E.L.F.'s Tinted Moisturizer might not be suitable for everyone. But, it did work for me! I bought this product with my money & this was an honest review.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week! :) Bye for now!

Commit to be Fit Friday!

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away!"

Via Google

Hey ladies! I'm sure many of us have heard this saying before but how true is it? While exercising daily or weekly will improve our health and bodies. Going the extra mile and substituting our usual choice of eating junk food or fast food with healthy snacks will really make a HUGE difference in our performance at the gym, outdoor activities or just our everyday life. We feel better when eating an apple instead of something really sweet like a donut or candy.

I know we all have those sweet streaks, where we just feel like we NEED us some sugar! But, knowing how much better we'll feel after eating an apple instead of something "unhealthy" is so much more better than feeling guilty! I'm not saying to torture yourself and NEVER eat any of these things! Just know that you have a choice & when you choose to say yes to candy or sweets, eat it in moderation. Too much of it will make you feel sluggish or tired after the sugar rush is over.

Personally, I like apples! I think that you can also have this as a quick breakfast. I know some people eat it with peanut butter, but I think it is perfect the way it is!

10 Health Benefits of Apples (click here to check out the article):
1. Bone Protection
2. Asthma Help
3. Alzheimer's Prevention
4. Lower Cholesterol
5. Lung Cancer Prevention
6. Breast Cancer Prevention
7. Colon Cancer Prevention
8. Liver Cancer Prevention
9. Diabetes Management
10. Weight Loss  (A Brazilian study found that women who ate three apples or pears per day lost more weight while dieting than women who did not eat fruit while dieting!)

Happy Friday Everyone (or Thursdays depending where you are)!!  :)
